Fall Line Talks: Atlanta Jazz Festival Forty Years

  • Fall Line Press

Join us for our Fall Line Talk on the last Thursday in June to learn about a new publication we recently released with the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs. This past Memorial Day weekend, the City had its 40th year of the jazz festival. It is regarded as one of the largest free festivals in the country. Over the years, they've had many well-known artists play including Miles Davis, Nina Simone and Ray Charles. This book is a document of the performers throughout the years through the eyes of five photographers:

Jim Alexander
Ernest Gregory
Michael Reese
Susan Ross
Julie Yarbrough

Jim, Michael, Susan and Julie will be joining us on the 29th to talk about their experience photographing the jazz festival through the years and sign books. You don't want to miss it.
